Umi Hope Foundation Supports Future of Fallen Soldiers, Police, and Firefighters' Children... Completes Vision Trip

Providing Opportunities to Experience Asian Culture and Economy

Umi Construction's public interest foundation, Umi Hope Foundation, recently announced on the 20th that it conducted the 'Heroes Family Vision Trip' for about 10 children of fallen military, police officers, and firefighters over 4 nights and 6 days to Vietnam and Singapore. The trip was an opportunity for high school seniors to gain life experience and reflect on the paths they want to take in the future.

The students visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam and Singapore Management University, where they met and talked with local international students. They also toured Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Gallery in Singapore, and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), witnessing firsthand the lifestyle and development of each country.

'Heroes Family' is a program started in 2022 by the Umi Hope Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. It provides support such as travel assistance, commemorative event celebrations, and psychological counseling to children of fallen military, police officers, and firefighters.

Lee Chun-seok, Secretary General of the Umi Hope Foundation, said, "I hope this trip helped the students set their own dreams," adding, "We will expand the Heroes Family program into a project that serves as a focal point for bereaved families' exchange and mutual support."
