LH, Business Briefing on Purchase Rental on the 13th

Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 13th that it will hold the 7th Housing Purchase Business Briefing Session at the Gyeonggi Southern Regional Headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Along with an overall explanation of the project, it will provide information on this year’s plans by metropolitan area headquarters, financial support measures, and the construction cost-linked system.


Newly built purchase lease refers to LH’s method of purchasing houses that are built or planned to be built by the private sector, acquiring them after completion. Previously, LH announced the newly built purchase lease project last month. The timing of the briefing session was moved up by two months compared to last year. To normalize housing supply in the private non-apartment market, LH plans to promote a newly built purchase lease project for more than 50,000 households, mainly in the metropolitan area where permits and construction volumes have shrunk.


For the four metropolitan area headquarters where purchase volumes are concentrated, LH will provide detailed information on purchase procedures, preferred locations by region, and local government permit matters. While the purchase price for newly built purchase lease is determined by appraisal, for buildings with 50 or more households in the metropolitan area, a construction cost-linked method using amounts calculated by an external cost calculation service agency will be applied concurrently.


At the briefing session, the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation will provide information on financial support for newly built purchase, such as the special guarantee system for urban housing. This system supports construction funds at low interest rates.
