On the 4th (local time), US media outlets including NBC reported that police in Maitland, Florida, arrested Marcus Jordan on a railroad track. According to the police, Marcus disobeyed orders to stop his car during a traffic stop around 1 a.m. and fled the scene. After a pursuit, police found Marcus's Lamborghini standing on the railroad tracks. According to the police arrest report, the vehicle had damage on the bumper, and the tires had repeatedly spun, causing the car to become stuck in the dirt and immobile.

The police detected the smell of alcohol from the vehicle and instructed Marcus to get out of the car. Despite repeated requests from the police, who said, "We are worried you might get hit by a train," Marcus resisted, saying, "What I'm worried about is this $300,000 (430 million won) car." With bloodshot eyes, he rambled, "I am Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan's son," and insisted, "I did nothing wrong. I was just trying to go home."

Eventually, Marcus complied with the police orders and exited the vehicle. After three on-site breathalyzer tests, he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. Police also found a plastic bag containing white powder in his pants pocket, which was later identified as cocaine through testing. Marcus was charged with drunk driving, possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest. However, he was released on bail the same day after being held at the Orange County Jail. He reportedly did not respond to questions from reporters as he left the jail.

Marcus Jordan is the second of three children born to Michael Jordan and his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy. Following in his father's footsteps, he played basketball in high school and college and later ran a sneaker business. Recently, he has also appeared on TV reality programs.
