S-OIL expresses its management philosophy of sharing and coexistence as one of its core business activities and practices the social contribution program called "Sunshine Sharing."

Centered on the four major guardian campaigns of "Heroes, Environment, Local Communities, and Underprivileged Neighbors," S-OIL has continuously developed and implemented numerous new programs such as Citizen Hero Guardians, Natural Monument Guardians, Gas Station Sharing N Campaign, Heating Oil Support for Low-Income Families Hope to You (油) Campaign, sponsorship of the Heart Heart Orchestra for people with developmental disabilities, and support for migrant women victims of domestic violence.

In recognition of its social contribution efforts, S-OIL received the Presidential Citation on Firefighters' Day in 2011 and the Presidential Citation on Social Welfare Day in 2024.

The experiences of Shin Young-chul, who has been responsible for S-OIL's social contribution work for 17 years, resonate deeply with readers. In particular, by sincerely practicing beneficiary-centered social contribution activities as a social worker, he has been able to maintain cooperative relationships with many nonprofit partner organizations.

Shin Young-chul said, "I hope this will be of great help to corporate social responsibility (CSR) officers, field social workers, and prospective social workers majoring in social welfare at schools in understanding corporate social contribution activities."
