Gwangju Urban Corporation signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement for joint research and technology development to improve the local urban environment with the Gwangju University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation on the 5th.


This agreement covers joint technological research between Gwangju Urban Corporation and Gwangju University, nurturing human resources and supporting startups, as well as providing technical advice and consulting for research and development projects, all aimed at fostering regional technological innovation and talent development.


Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to establish a cooperative system for promoting the local technology industry by: ▲ exchanging technology and information on urban architectural culture and new energy businesses ▲ fostering technical talent through field-based and practical training support ▲ supporting job fairs and recruitment briefings to enhance local youth employment capabilities.


As a leading local public enterprise in urban development, public architecture, and new energy businesses, the Corporation expects synergistic effects through research collaboration with Gwangju University.


President Kim Seungnam stated, "I hope this industry-academia agreement will become an important stepping stone for technological innovation and economic growth in the Gwangju region," adding, "We will do our best in joint research and talent development for regional advancement."
