The Capstone Project is a digital talent development program hosted by Seoul National University and sponsored by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Kyobo Securities participated in the program for three months starting from November last year.

In this project, Kyobo Securities developed a model that predicts the volatility of bond credit spread changes three months ahead by analyzing market conditions and corporate financial information. The bond credit spread prediction model was recognized as an outstanding project for its optimized design using real financial data and high level of completeness, demonstrating practical applicability.

Kyobo Securities plans to apply the model to AI and big data-based operation models to optimize spreads and improve returns through bond management strategies.

CEO Seok-ki Lee said, "This industry-academia collaboration has become an opportunity to contribute to nurturing the digital core talents needed by companies," adding, "We will continue to lead innovation in financial services through ongoing technological development."
