Gangjin County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jinwon) announced on the 5th that it will officially launch the 'Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents' platform.
This platform has been created to maintain continuous online relationships and provide various benefits for people connected to Gangjin County, such as former residents, tourists, sports training teams, and outsiders interested in Gangjin.
The 'Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents' initiative is being promoted as a core strategy not just for publicity, but to expand the living population of Gangjin County. Through this, the county aims to strengthen the bond between residents and visitors, maximize the revitalization of the local economy, and attract more tourists.
The 'Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents' initiative has already garnered significant interest even before its official launch. In the first pre-registration event held last November, 4,000 people signed up within a week, proving the effectiveness of the program.
By joining 'Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents,' members can receive various benefits provided by Gangjin County. These include free or discounted admission to cultural and tourist facilities, and 5,000 mileage points upon registration, which can be converted into Gangjin Love Gift Certificates for use.
Additionally, during the winter sports training season in January, the county conducted intensive promotions targeting over 5,100 athletes and staff visiting Gangjin, further raising Gangjin's profile as a sports training destination.
A county official stated, "During the preliminary operation period, we received more interest and registrations than expected, and this platform will become an important channel connecting Gangjin with outsiders."
To establish the 'Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents' initiative, the county plans to operate promotional booths at the four major festivals (Gangjin Celadon Festival, Gangjin Hydrangea Road Festival, Gangjin Hamaek Festival, and Gangjin Bay Dancing Reed Festival). By encouraging on-site registrations at these festivals, the county aims to increase the living population and maintain ongoing relationships with Gangjin.
Governor Kang Jinwon stated, "The 'Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents' initiative is an important link connecting Gangjin County with outsiders. Through this, we hope more people will experience Gangjin's charm and form a special connection with the county."
He added, "Under the goal of 'Efficient Gangjin,' we will provide tangible benefits to both residents and visitors. We will continue to develop this initiative to further enhance Gangjin County's brand value."
The county also plans to consistently strive to achieve the three main goals of boosting tourism, promoting local economic growth, and expanding the living population based on the Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents initiative.
Anyone wishing to join the Gangjinpum-ae On County Residents initiative can sign up by visiting the platform website. For more details, visit the official Gangjin County website or contact the Gangjin County Population Policy Division.
