Yang Moon-seok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea classified as pro-Myeong (pro-Lee Jae-myung faction), criticized the anti-Myeong faction on the 4th, saying, "Are Presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Moon Jae-in your personal property?" and "Are they historical figures that only you can praise, criticize, and inherit?"
On the same day, Representative Yang stated on social media (SNS), "I tried to endure and keep silent until the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol. However, considering the sense of deprivation felt by our party members and supporters as you recklessly act out, I cannot help but say a word." He added, "It seems there is internal strife within the Democratic Party, and I cannot stand to see you making a fuss and profiting from it, so I will say this: Are President Roh Moo-hyun and President Moon Jae-in the personal property of former Blue House secretaries? Are they the possessions of former ministers from the Roh and Moon administrations?"
He continued, "I cannot help but ask whether you alone have been granted the privilege to disparage and criticize Presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Moon Jae-in in private while praising them in public," and "Who gave you such a privilege?"
Furthermore, he said, "If you are not a former secretary or a former minister from the Roh or Moon administrations, are you not allowed to praise, criticize, or inherit their legacy? Are they historical figures that only you can praise, criticize, and inherit?" He added, "At the very least, Presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Moon Jae-in are ‘Presidents of the Republic of Korea’ and ‘Presidents of the Democratic Party’ in history. They are not ‘marbles’ that you privately own and can take out of your pocket anytime to use for your own advancement, as your mockery suggests. Do you really have to shout this out in ‘the language of the sword’ as your ridicule?" He concluded by saying, "You pro-Roh and pro-Moon factions, please stop it now. Enough is enough."
Even after the impeachment phase of President Yoon Seok-yeol began, the Democratic Party’s approval ratings have lagged behind the People Power Party, leading to criticism from the pro-Myeong faction. Earlier, former Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo said on SNS on the 1st, "Responding with the language of the sword and dealing with ridicule is not the way to unite and win. We must stop shouting at each other, apologize, extend a hand, and unite as one to win." Former Blue House Chief of Staff Lim Jong-seok also pointed out on the 3rd, referring to the Democratic Party’s vote share in the last presidential election, "Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, and Moon Jae-in all won overwhelmingly in Chungcheong. Why did candidate Lee Jae-myung lose in Chungcheong?"
