The State Administration for Market Regulation of China announced on the 4th that it will investigate Google for alleged antitrust law violations.

China's move came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump imposed a 10% tariff on Chinese products.

Bloomberg News pointed out, "China announced the investigation into Google immediately after President Trump imposed a 10% tariff on products imported from Beijing and imposed new tariffs on various American products, reigniting the trade war between the world's two largest economies."
