On the 4th, Gyeongbuk Province unveiled an AI promotional song to ensure the successful hosting of the ‘2025 APEC Summit’.
This promotional song was created to effectively highlight the value of Gyeongbuk, the host region of APEC, and to increase domestic and international interest. It was first released through Gyeongbuk Province’s official YouTube channel, ‘BoisoTV.’ It is attracting attention as a fresh attempt, being an AI-based original composition that differentiates itself from traditional promotional methods.

The K-pop and hip-hop version titled ‘Hot Spot’ signifies Gyeongbuk as the focal point drawing attention as the host of the 2025 APEC Summit, expressing Gyeongbuk’s dynamism and global sensibility through intense beats and trendy sounds.
The trot version, ‘Korea Dream,’ symbolizes hope and a bright future through APEC, crafted with lively rhythms and lyrical melodies to resonate with people of all ages and genders.
The choruses of each version harmonize Gyeongbuk’s traditional culture with modern sensibilities, naturally conveying Gyeongbuk’s identity as the APEC host region.
This promotional song is an innovative content piece directly written and composed by AI, utilizing the AI music production tool ‘SUNO’ and the AI language model ‘ChatGPT-4.’ It is gaining attention for combining digital technology with creativity. It is regarded as a unique example among APEC promotional contents and is drawing interest as a new promotional method in the digital era.
‘BoisoTV,’ Gyeongsangbuk-do’s official YouTube channel with 380,000 subscribers, operates focusing on realizing public value and generational empathy, establishing itself as a representative communication channel for Gyeongbuk.
This AI promotional song was also released through BoisoTV to domestic and international viewers, effectively conveying the preparation status of Gyeongbuk as the APEC host and the anticipation for the global event.
Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, “We ask for the interest and support of all citizens for the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit,” adding, “To deliver Gyeongbuk’s enthusiasm in a fresher and more enjoyable way, we utilized cutting-edge AI technology to produce promotional songs in K-pop, hip-hop, and trot versions and released them on YouTube.”
The governor continued, “This AI promotional song symbolizes Gyeongbuk’s creative thinking and spirit of challenge, and we hope it contributes to creating a successful atmosphere for the APEC Summit. We will continue to integrate digital technology and content to widely promote Gyeongbuk’s value worldwide and do our best in preparation,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Lim Dae-sung, spokesperson for Gyeongbuk Province, announced that following the release of the AI promotional song, efforts for the successful hosting of the summit will continue through various activities such as SNS campaigns, global content collaborations, and on-site promotions.
