Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics will clash at 'ISE 2025,' Europe's largest display exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain. Both companies aim to expand their B2B (business-to-business) performance this year, so fierce competition is expected from the launch of innovative new products to targeting the commercial display market.
The ISE 2025 exhibition will take place over four days from the 4th to the 7th (local time). Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, which recently emphasized 'connected experiences' and 'empathic intelligence' respectively at CES 2025, will showcase detailed technologies by sector this time.
Samsung Electronics will exhibit ▲ four types of ultra-low power displays called 'Samsung Color ePaper' ▲ SmartThings Pro, a B2B integrated connection platform with enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) features ▲ and extra-large signage. From the entrance of the exhibition hall, they installed a massive media facade using 'The Wall,' which integrates Micro LED technology.
Samsung Electronics explained that the four types of 'Samsung Color ePaper' unveiled this time have drastically reduced power consumption for digital content advertising. The power consumption is 0 watts (W) while maintaining content, and even when changing the screen, the power consumption is significantly lower compared to existing digital signage, reducing energy costs.
LG Electronics focused on 'B2B customer-tailored' solutions. At this exhibition, visitors can see an upgraded version of the highly evolved ultra-high-definition Micro LED 'LG Magnit.' They enhanced ease of use and installation, content compatibility, and energy efficiency. Standby power when the screen is off has been drastically reduced by up to 98%.
In particular, they unveiled 'high-brightness signage' that minimizes yellowing when exposed to sunlight. It applied the industry's first 'Anti-Discoloration' technology, which has obtained verification for display discoloration resistance characteristics.
In the retail zone, which recreates retail stores, signage certified for fire safety standards and customer-tailored second-generation kiosks that can be installed in various forms are exhibited. Three types of signage (US5P, UV5N, UP5Q) received certification from global certification bodies such as SGS, confirming compliance with EU safety standards for fire resistance.
