Samsung Electronics announced on the 4th that it achieved sales of 1.3 million units in the domestic pre-sale of the Galaxy S25 series. This is the highest pre-sale record ever for the Galaxy S series. The pre-sale was conducted over 11 days from the 24th of last month to the 3rd of this month.
By model sales ratio, the Galaxy S25 Ultra accounted for the largest share at 52%, followed by the Galaxy S25 (26%) and Galaxy S25+ (22%).
As for colors, the S25 Ultra was popular in Titanium White Silver and Titanium Silver Blue, while Ice Blue and Silver Shadow were favored for the S25+ and S25. Among exclusive colors available on Samsung.com and the experiential flagship store 'Samsung Gangnam,' Titanium Jet Black and Blue Black were highly popular.
Industry insiders believe that the enhanced performance through personalized artificial intelligence (AI) features contributed to the strong pre-sale results. Additionally, Samsung Electronics' decision to freeze prices to popularize Galaxy AI is also analyzed as a reason for the success.
Furthermore, about 30% of customers who pre-purchased the S25 series on Samsung.com subscribed to the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club.' This subscription club is available when purchasing the unlocked S25 series models and offers benefits such as ▲ up to 50% residual value guarantee upon device return ▲ 'Samsung Care Plus Smartphone Damage+' service ▲ accessory discounts, among others.
Pre-purchase customers can receive and activate their products starting today (the 4th). The S25 series will be sequentially released in over 120 countries worldwide, beginning with South Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom on the 7th.
