Yeonggwang County Provides Subsidies for Electric Vehicle Purchases

Expansion of Support Scope to Include First-Time Young Buyers and Others

Yeonggwang County in Jeollanam-do will begin accepting applications for electric vehicle purchase subsidies starting from the 10th.


In the first half of this year, subsidies will be provided for the purchase of 122 electric passenger cars (112 standard, 10 micro), and 84 electric trucks. Additional subsidies will be offered for more vehicles in the second half of the year.


The maximum subsidy is 13.3 million KRW for electric passenger cars and 23 million KRW for electric trucks, with the specific amount varying by vehicle model.


Eligible applicants are individuals and legal entities who have continuously resided or been based in Yeonggwang County for at least three months prior to the application date. The subsidy is limited to one vehicle per individual, sole proprietor, or corporation. Applications for the subsidy must be submitted through the vehicle manufacturer or importer after signing a purchase contract for an electric vehicle.


Recipients of the subsidy will be selected in the order of vehicle delivery and registration. For details regarding vehicle prices and other information, please contact the manufacturer, importer, or dealer. More information about the subsidy can be found on the county's official website under Notices/Announcements, as well as on the Zero Emission Vehicle Integrated Portal.


Meanwhile, the electric two-wheeler distribution project will be carried out sequentially in accordance with the Ministry of Environment's administrative guidelines.
