Jeon Han-gil, a Korean history instructor who has been advocating against the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol, requested police protection, citing a flood of threatening emails.
On the 31st, the Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced that they have begun personal protection measures, including providing Jeon with a smartwatch, following his request.
Jeon posted YouTube videos supporting President Yoon after the December 3 emergency martial law incident. On the 19th, he uploaded a video endorsing allegations of election fraud.
Jeon took the forefront at a far-right and conservative rally held in Yeouido, Seoul, and has announced a rally at Busan Station on the 1st of next month.
