Former President Moon Jae-in said, "I sincerely hope that the country will return to normal as soon as possible and that our daily lives will regain peace, united with the people."
On the 27th, former President Moon stated this through social media (SNS), saying, "We are welcoming the Lunar New Year holiday amid more difficult circumstances than ever."
Former President Moon said, "I hope the wounded and divided hearts of the people will be comforted and healed, that livelihoods will become more abundant, and that this year will be one with less worry and more laughter." He added, "I hope you spend warm times with your family and relatives after a long time," and "I always wish for your health and for peace and happiness to fill your homes."
Earlier, on the 23rd, former President Moon sent a congratulatory message at the symposium titled "Democracy Beyond Impeachment, Meeting Again," held by the think tank 'Ilgopbeonjjae Nara LAB' established by former Democratic Party floor leader Park Kwang-on at the Roh Moo-hyun Citizen Center in Jongno-gu. He said, "The political reality, where political behavior is becoming increasingly extreme day by day, is worrisome." He also said, "It is even more deplorable that the constitutional system is being shaken and the people divided, trapped by vain delusions and misguided beliefs."
Former President Moon said, "The Republic of Korea is undergoing intense labor pains and crises to move toward a new era," and "We must wisely resolve the crisis as soon as possible and move toward more democracy, greater democracy, and stronger democracy." He continued, "Since the truth witnessed by all the people is one, I firmly believe that everything will soon return to normal and a new start will be made," and said, "Truth will surely overcome falsehood, and democracy will advance on the path of victory."
