Hwang Yuna's Comeback Show Against Jo Jeongmin

Hwang Yuna achieved her first victory on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Dream (2nd division) Tour in Indonesia.

On the 26th, at the final 3rd round of the Dream Tour opening event, the Indonesia Ladies Open (total prize money $300,000), held at Damai Indah Golf Club BSD Course (par 72) in Jakarta, Indonesia, she shot a 4-under-par 68 to tie with Cho Jeong-min at 10-under-par 206. After a playoff, she secured the championship. The winner's prize money is $45,000 (approximately 64 million KRW). This tournament corresponds to 100 million KRW in Dream Tour prize money. The winner receives a prize of 15 million KRW.

Hwang Yuna started from a tie for 3rd place, 2 strokes behind the leader, and recorded 6 birdies and 2 bogeys. She debuted on the KLPGA Tour last year but did not achieve good results. She ranked 96th in the prize money ranking and placed 37th in the regular tour seed ranking in November last year.

Cho Jeong-min led for two days but lost the wire-to-wire victory to Hwang Yuna’s strong finish. From 2016 to 2019, she accumulated 5 wins on the KLPGA Tour. She holds the KLPGA Tour records for the lowest 54-hole score (23-under-par 193) and the lowest 36-hole score (17-under-par 127). After a sudden slump in 2021, she has mainly competed on the Dream Tour since 2022.

Ji Yu-ai (China) added 2-under-par to finish in 3rd place, 1 stroke behind (9-under-par 207), showing a strong performance. Yoon Hwa-young finished 4th (8-under-par 208), and Kim So-jung ended the tournament in 5th place (7-under-par 209). Holly Victoria Harim (Indonesia) and Patcharajutar Kongkraphan (Thailand), playing on their home courses, tied for 8th place (6-under-par 210). The KLPGA Dream Tour will hold the Philippine Ladies Masters over three days starting February 12.
