SRT Air Conditioning Complaints Resolved... Active Administration Receives 'Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Award'

Improving Customer Convenience in Response to Heatwaves

SR, the operator of the Suseo High-Speed Railway (SRT), announced on the 26th that it received the Chairman's Award from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission for being selected as an exemplary case in the '2024 Active Administration Public Application' hosted by the commission, thanks to improvements in SRT air conditioning.

The Active Administration Public Application system is a civil complaint handling system that allows citizens to actively request problem-solving from the government and public institutions through the People's Petition Service.

After receiving complaints related to SRT air conditioning last year, SR took steps to improve the situation. They serviced the train air conditioning units and applied heat-blocking film to the windows of passenger cabins and platform doors. Additionally, mobile air conditioning units were operated as a backup against air conditioning failures.

As a result, the average cabin temperature decreased by 0.7 degrees, from 23.8°C to 23.1°C. The creation of a more comfortable environment led to higher customer satisfaction.

Jongguk Lee, CEO of SR, stated, "This improvement reflects the opinions of the public," and added, "We will continue to provide innovative public services that citizens can truly experience."
