Related organizations including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the National Police Agency, and the General Insurance Association participated together to enhance the promotional effect.
To prevent drowsy driving, the Authority recommended indoor ventilation, stretching, and using rest areas.
They emphasized reducing speed and maintaining a safe distance on bridges, tunnel entrances, and shaded sections where icy roads and black ice are expected.
Basic rules such as wearing seat belts in all seats, prohibiting drunk driving, and vehicle inspections were also urged to prevent traffic accidents.
Jung Yong-sik, the Authority’s Director, said, "I hope this campaign serves as an opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of traffic safety rules," adding, "We will do our best so that all citizens can spend safe and happy days with their families."
On the 25th, Park Sang-woo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Jeong Yong-sik, President of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, participated in the Authority's traffic safety campaign and took a commemorative photo with the Authority's employees.
