Emro, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based supply chain management software company, announced on the 23rd that it recorded sales of 79.5 billion KRW and an operating profit of 8.6 billion KRW last year.
Sales and operating profit increased by 25.8% and 84.6%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, setting a new record high. Convertible bonds (CB) and bonds with warrants (BW) issued to Samsung SDS were fully converted and exercised in July last year. With the disappearance of derivative valuation losses, net profit also turned positive.
Revenue that occurs steadily every year, such as cloud usage fees and technology fees, increased. Thanks to the expansion of new customers for the cloud-based supply chain management service ‘emroCloud’ and the increase in subsidiary expansion projects of existing customers, cloud usage fees last year recorded 5.4 billion KRW, an 18.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Technology fees achieved 12.7 billion KRW, a 27.9% increase compared to the same period last year.
External growth continued as Emro was responsible for building integrated purchasing systems and expanding domestic and overseas subsidiaries for large corporate customers in various industries such as automotive, IT, building materials, and secondary batteries.
In October last year, Emro secured its first customer for the global SRM SaaS solution ‘Caidentia’ in the U.S. market through Samsung SDS. This year, the company plans to establish its position as a global software company through additional contracts in overseas markets.
Together with Samsung SDS, Emro is actively proposing solution adoption to leading companies in the IT, automotive, and manufacturing sectors in the U.S. local market. The project with the first contracted customer is progressing smoothly, and discussions on introducing additional purchasing functions are also positive.
Following last year, Emro will participate in various global events held in the U.S., Europe, and elsewhere, including the world’s largest supply chain management event hosted by global market research firm Gartner, the ‘Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo.’
To advance purchasing operations, Emro is gradually developing functions using generative AI technologies such as chatbots and AI agents and integrating them into purchasing solutions, promoting the advancement of AI solutions. The supply chain management software ‘SMARTsuite v10.0,’ upgraded and released last year, will be developed as a cloud-based SaaS version, leading the cloud transition of purchasing solutions.
An Emro official said, “This year, we will lead the domestic and international supply chain management software market with the core keywords of global, AI, and cloud.” He added, “By concentrating company-wide capabilities, we will secure meaningful references in overseas businesses, which have been actively pursued since last year, and fully launch the ‘Emro 2.0’ era.”
