Yeosu City Introduces Ultra-Precise Bus Location Information Service

Providing Real-Time Information by the Second through 'KakaoMap'

Yeosu City, South Jeolla Province (Mayor Chung Kimyung) announced on the 23rd that it has introduced an ultra-precise bus information service that provides real-time city bus location information through the 'KakaoMap' app.

The ultra-precise bus information service allows users to see the real-time movement and location of city buses at a glance on KakaoMap. To use the service, simply tap the menu bar on the main screen of KakaoMap and turn on the 'Ultra-Precise Bus' feature.

Previously, the city completed the Bus Information System (BIS) advancement project last year and signed an agreement with Kakao Corp., completing all necessary preparations for the service launch.

A city official stated, "We expect the ultra-precise bus information service to greatly enhance convenience for citizens and travelers using public transportation," adding, "As we approach the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo, we will further strengthen the public transportation infrastructure during this important period."
