An official from the Ministry explained, "This event was organized to provide detailed explanations of the work plan established by the government to policy customers, not merely as a one-way communication, but to listen to the voices of various policy customers and continuously supplement necessary parts going forward."

The event was attended by 60 people, including representatives from agricultural organizations and associations, workers from various fields such as young farmers, returnees to farming, and smart farmers, agricultural and food export companies and associations, distribution organizations, and experts from various fields. They shared the main contents of the work plan established by the Ministry and had the opportunity to listen to diverse opinions.

According to the Ministry, attendees raised concerns about the difficulties faced by farms due to recent sharp rises in exchange rates and raw material prices. While they agreed with directions such as easing farmland regulations and restructuring the rice industry, they also requested that various opinions from the field be carefully considered during the implementation process. There were also remarks on future agricultural challenges, such as the need to expand smart agriculture and support the cultivation of young farmers to respond to changes in the agricultural environment caused by climate change.

The Ministry had prepared measures worth 577.1 billion won on the 20th to stabilize the management of farms, including young farmers. It plans to continue faithfully reflecting voices from the field in its policies.

Starting with this event, the Ministry plans to work with related organizations to divide the agricultural policy field into five major work areas for a deeper and more detailed examination and to have time to listen to vivid voices. Beginning with the K-Food Plus(+) Export Expansion Promotion Headquarters meeting held on the 21st, relay on-site meetings on major topics will be held from the 11th to the 20th of next month, covering ▲ efficient supply and demand management of agricultural and livestock products ▲ expansion of smart agriculture and strengthening support for youth ▲ promotion of animal welfare and environmentally friendly agriculture and livestock industry ▲ stabilization of farmers' management and welfare enhancement.

Minister Song said, "To build a stronger livelihood and a better future for agriculture and rural areas, the sincere opinions of farmers and the public working hard in the field are important," adding, "We will do our best to actively and promptly reflect the voices of the people in the work plan and prepare policies that the public can feel."
