Incheon Regional Infertility Counseling Center Opens at Ain Hospital... Psychological Counseling and Mental Health Care Support

The Incheon Regional Infertility and Pregnant Women Psychological Counseling Center has relocated to Ain Hospital, operated by Ain Medical Foundation (372 Gyeongin-ro, Michuhol-gu), and has officially begun operations.

On the 22nd, Incheon City announced that it held an opening ceremony for the center, attended by over 100 people, including Ha Byungpil, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs of Incheon, Lee Younghun, Mayor of Michuhol-gu, and members of the Incheon City Council.

Located on the 5th floor of Ain Hospital, the center offers excellent transportation accessibility as it is connected to the subway. In addition, because it is situated within a medical institution frequently used by pregnant women, clients can receive both psychological counseling and medical support needed during pregnancy and childbirth preparation in one place.

The center has expanded its existing role of supporting those struggling with infertility and depression, establishing a support system that is more accessible and familiar to a greater number of pregnant women and their families.

Furthermore, the center is staffed with specialists from various fields, including an obstetrician-gynecologist (center director), a psychiatrist (consultant), and a clinical psychologist, to provide professional psychological counseling and customized mental health care to a diverse range of clients, such as couples experiencing infertility, pregnant women, and mothers raising children.

The center is equipped with a waiting area, counseling rooms, and program rooms, and also operates various programs and self-help groups to help relieve stress experienced during the process of preparing for infertility treatment.
