Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 22nd that it will recruit candidates for the '2025 Senior Safety Housing Project' to reinforce safety facilities and improve the living environment in homes for the elderly within the city by February 10.
This project is a customized home renovation program that supports safe living for basic pension recipients aged 65 and older to prevent safety accidents in elderly households.
Among the applicants, 16 households will be selected to receive home repairs focusing on items that can enhance the elderly's independence and ability to perform daily activities, such as safety handrails, anti-slip tiles, threshold removal, wallpapering, and flooring.
Applicants must be basic pension recipients aged 65 or older. Support is provided up to 5 million KRW per household, and the city will recruit a total of 16 households, including 4 reserve households. However, recipients of maintenance repair benefits, non-residential occupants, and those who have benefited from home renovation projects within the past three years are excluded.
Applications can be submitted at the local community service centers of the applicant's address. For more details, applicants can contact the person in charge at their local community service center or the Housing Division of Uijeongbu City Hall.
