Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, successfully concluded the 'New Year Practical Education for Farmers,' held from the 9th to the 22nd, with the participation of over 700 farmers.
This education program consisted of eight subjects including blight, beekeeping, paddy rice cultivation, pear, apple, chili pepper, peach, and soil management, aiming to improve the latest agricultural trends and crop-specific cultivation techniques, thereby contributing to the enhancement of farmers' capabilities.
In particular, to help farmers adequately adapt and respond to the recent intensifying climate change and technological advancements in agriculture, the program was designed to embody not only the latest theories but also field-oriented education.
County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol stated, “Building on the successful conclusion of the New Year Practical Education for Farmers, we will diversify the education topics further and strengthen customized education by region and crop type to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of local agriculture and increasing farm income.”
