Former Justice Party lawmakers Chu Hye-sun, Bae Jin-kyo, and Yoon So-ha have joined the Democratic Party of Korea.
In a statement on the 22nd, they said, "The three of us are joining the Democratic Party to unite the democratic progressive camp and achieve the complete victory of democracy," adding, "We will play a small but meaningful role in uniting the democratic progressive camp around the Democratic Party and achieving the re-creation of the government." Lawmakers Chu and others added, "We sincerely hope that our decision today will be a signal for the democratic progressive camp to unite as one."

원본보기 아이콘Former lawmakers Chu and Yoon served as members of the National Assembly under the Justice Party during the 20th National Assembly, while Bae served during the 21st National Assembly.
The Justice Party, which held six seats and was the third-largest party in the 21st National Assembly, failed to secure even one seat in the 22nd National Assembly and thus lost its status as a parliamentary party.
