Gwangju Office of Education: "Don't Worry About Parking on Your Way Home"

142 School and Educational Institution Parking Lots to Open Free of Charge from the 25th to the 30th

The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will open 142 parking lots, including those at its main office, educational facilities, and schools, for free during the Lunar New Year holiday period from the 25th to the 30th.

By facility, this includes 15 administrative institutions such as the city education office and the Dong and Seobu Education Support Offices, as well as 127 schools. In particular, the city education office will open a total of 313 parking spaces, including those at the Gwangju Education Research and Information Institute, which shares the same site, for 24 hours a day.

However, schools and institutions currently under construction will not be opened to prevent safety accidents. In addition, the opening hours of the parking lots are determined and operated by each institution, so users should check the times in advance. When using the parking lots, drivers must leave their contact information on the front of their vehicles and follow the surrounding rules to maintain a safe educational environment.

The city education office will put up banners at each school to inform citizens about the free parking during the holiday and provide information on opening dates and times for each school through its website.
