Baek Sam-jong, Deputy Governor of Hamyang, Visits Gyeongnam Province to Secure Budget for Tourism Resource Development Project

On the 22nd, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced that it visited the Tourism Policy Division and Balanced Development Division of Gyeongnam Province to discuss the development of tourism resource projects in line with the proposal of new local transfer (conversion) projects for 2026 and the promotion of rapid financial execution.

On this day, Deputy Governor Baek Sam-jong, Director of Tourism Promotion Park Hyun-gi, and other tourism development officials requested budget support of 8.9 billion KRW for three new local transfer (conversion) projects in 2026 aimed at revitalizing the tourism industry through the establishment of tourism infrastructure around the Jirisan area and Sangnim Park.

Additionally, they discussed preliminary tasks to ensure the smooth and rapid execution of finances for regional development projects.

Deputy Governor Baek said, “To respond to the population decline in Hamyang-gun and to revitalize the local economy, I earnestly request Gyeongnam Province’s active support so that the tourism industry can be fostered.”
