The three major indices of the U.S. New York Stock Exchange all closed higher on the 21st (local time), the first trading day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
On that day at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average (Dow) closed up 1.24% compared to the previous trading day. The large-cap focused S&P 500 index rose 0.88%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq index increased by 0.64% to close the session.
