Taean County in Chungnam Province is implementing a comprehensive plan for the Lunar New Year holiday, including the operation of a general situation room, environmental management, and safety inspections, to ensure a safe and pleasant holiday atmosphere ahead of the nation's largest traditional holiday.

The county plans to focus on several areas during the holiday: implementing disaster safety measures, ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow, creating a pleasant environment, fostering a spirit of sharing during the holiday, closely monitoring holiday prices and ensuring the safe supply of agricultural, marine, and livestock products, and minimizing inconveniences for residents.

First, from the 25th to the 30th, during the holiday period, the county will operate a general situation room to maintain order and manage incidents and accidents. A total of 232 public officials, organized into 12 teams (10 county teams with 136 members and 2 town teams with 96 members), will be on duty.

To ensure a safe holiday, safety inspections will be conducted at traditional markets and multi-use facilities, and a "disaster safety response team" will be organized. In addition, 129 public restrooms will be maintained, and a waste management team will operate during the holiday to create a clean and pleasant environment.

Efforts will also be made to minimize medical service gaps by maintaining a 24-hour emergency system at the public health center and designating 73 on-duty medical institutions and pharmacies (from the 25th to the 30th). To prevent livestock diseases, situation rooms and disinfection stations for ASF, AI, and foot-and-mouth disease will be operated to ensure a safe Lunar New Year holiday.

Additionally, a situation response team will be assigned to the public memorial hall to assist visitors, road facilities will be maintained, and an emergency road repair team will be on standby. The Nammun Public Parking Lot in Nammun-ri, Taean-eup, will be open free of charge for one week from the 24th to the 30th to provide convenience for returning visitors.

Furthermore, in conjunction with the "2025 Taean Seollal Ssireum Championship" to be held at Taean Indoor Gymnasium from the 24th to the 30th, the county will do its utmost to ensure a successful event and welcome guests. The county also plans to foster a warm holiday atmosphere by implementing a "One Public Official, One Family Care Visit" program, connecting public officials with vulnerable families for one-on-one support.

A county official stated, "We will do our utmost to implement comprehensive measures so that returning visitors and residents can enjoy a safe and pleasant Lunar New Year in Taean. We will establish a cooperation system with related organizations and focus on key management areas to ensure everyone has a happy holiday."
