Professor Hong Soonbeom from the Department of Psychiatry at Seoul National University Children's Hospital gave a lecture on the topic of 'Parenting Children and Adolescents, and ADHD.' Professor Hong explained maladaptive behaviors that appear during students’ developmental stages and suggested conflict resolution strategies. In the following lecture, Professor Kim Hyebin, a psychiatrist, delivered practical solutions for teachers’ psychological health under the theme of ‘Managing Job Stress for Elementary, Middle, and High School Teachers.’

Wee Doctor is a service in which psychiatrists provide video consultations to teachers at Wee Class and Wee Center. Through this, experts present specific solutions for students’ various psychological difficulties.

The Provincial Office of Education is also operating a non-face-to-face counseling platform for students in remote areas or those who have difficulty with in-person counseling. In particular, it is expanding counseling services utilizing the metaverse and building a customized counseling system that encompasses both in-person and non-face-to-face support. This year, in connection with the Wee Doctor project, it plans to further strengthen mental health support for students and faculty members.

Kim Hobum, Director of Student Life Education, stated, “Considering the geographical characteristics of Jeonnam, it is important to create an environment where counseling is available anytime and anywhere. The Wee Doctor project plays a key role in providing such counseling support. We will continue to do our best to support the psychological and emotional well-being of both faculty and students.”
