Environmental Campaign Held for Lunar New Year

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 21st that on the 20th, more than 100 members of the Barugesalgi Movement Yangju City Council (President Song In-man) participated in the ‘Lunar New Year Environmental Campaign’ and the ‘International Skating Rink Attraction Prayer’ event held around the Yangjugwana site.

This event was organized to provide a clean and pleasant city image to returning visitors and citizens during the Lunar New Year holiday. The participating members cleaned up trash around the Yangjugwana site and appealed to the citizens to actively participate in the development of the local community by promoting the Barugesalgi Movement’s core principles of ‘truth, order, and harmony.’


In particular, it is known that they supported Yangju City’s efforts to revitalize the local economy and strengthen urban competitiveness by praying for the attraction of the ‘International Skating Rink,’ which is a key project promoted by the city.


President Song In-man said, “I hope that through this campaign, citizens can feel the importance of environmental protection and regional development,” and added, “We will continue to work harder for the sustainable development and cooperation of the local community.”


Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City emphasized, “Thanks to the dedicated activities of the Barugesalgi Movement members, Yangju City is becoming a better place to live,” and stated, “Yangju City will achieve sustainable development by expanding various social infrastructure that improves the quality of life for citizens, including attracting the International Skating Rink.”
