Muan County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim San) announced on the 21st that the joint memorial altar at Muan Sports Park, which had been operated to honor the victims of the December 29 passenger plane accident, ended its operation on the 19th.

원본보기 아이콘The joint memorial altar at Muan Sports Park, which was set up immediately after the accident, saw a continuous flow of mourners for 21 days. A total of 14,893 people visited to pay their respects, and 302 condolence flower wreaths sent from various sectors offered comfort to the victims.
A total of 1,428 people also participated in the online memorial altar operated on the Muan County Office website, joining in the mourning.
Oh Sunhee, Head of Resident Life Division, said, "We express our deepest condolences to the victims of the accident," and added, "The online memorial altar will continue to operate, and we will keep praying for the repose of the victims’ souls."
