Hanwha Systems announced on the 21st that its self-developed ship cybersecurity solution, 'SecuAider,' has received the 'E27 TA (Type Approval for Cybersecurity of Ship Equipment)' certification from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), becoming the first in Asia to do so.

Ship equipment that receives this certification qualifies to be exported and supplied to various global shipyards and shipping companies certified by ABS and others.
This is the first case of obtaining ship cybersecurity solution certification among the three countries of Korea, China, and Japan. Previously, SecuAider had first acquired the Korea Register (KR) certification in December last year.
Hanwha Systems' SecuAider is a security solution that defends ship data and networks from advanced cyber attacks such as malware infections. It is installed and integrated with major ship equipment and network devices. It analyzes and monitors cyber situations in real-time without degrading ship operations, providing functions such as AI-based anomaly detection and threat blocking, and real-time remote response.
A Hanwha Systems official said, "Based on the SecuAider technology certified as a world-leading cybersecurity solution, we plan to contribute to strengthening the security of various domestic and international commercial ship lineups and defense smart ships, while exploring export opportunities to major overseas markets including the United States."
