Samsung Electronics Unveils 'AI Electronic Whiteboard' Featuring Android 15

New Model Unveiled at Europe's Largest Education Exhibition

Samsung Electronics has unveiled a new 2025 model electronic whiteboard that provides an artificial intelligence (AI) learning environment.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 21st that it will unveil the new AI electronic whiteboard model at 'Bett 2025,' an education technology exhibition held from the 22nd to the 24th (local time) in London, UK. Bett is the largest education technology exhibition in Europe, with participation from 600 companies across about 130 countries and more than 30,000 education professionals.

The '2025 AI Electronic Whiteboard (model name: WAFX-P)' consists of three types with large displays: 65-inch, 75-inch, and 86-inch, and is equipped with the latest operating system, 'Android 15.'

Notably, the new product features the newly applied educational solution 'Samsung AI Assistant,' which systematically organizes lessons and maximizes learning effectiveness. 'Samsung AI Assistant' supports various AI functions including ▲'Circle to Search,' which allows teachers to draw circles around images or text on the screen during class to find and provide desired information, ▲'AI Summary,' which automatically summarizes lesson content, and ▲'Transcription,' which converts the teacher's voice into text in real time.

Additionally, the '2025 AI Electronic Whiteboard' has received EDLA (Enterprise Device Licensing Agreement) certification for compatibility with Google’s Android OS-based devices and apps, allowing users to immediately download and utilize various apps such as Google Classroom and Google Drive.

Furthermore, new features such as 'Smart Note-On,' which smoothly switches between handwriting and content control actions on the touch screen, and 'File Converter,' which converts various annotation file formats for use on the device, have been newly applied.

The '2025 AI Electronic Whiteboard' delivers powerful performance with upgraded hardware including a high-performance processor. It is equipped with a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of up to 4.8 TOPS (4.8 trillion operations per second) and a high-performance octa-core processor, enabling stable execution of AI-based educational programs.

It also features 16GB of memory (RAM) and 128GB of storage (SSD), supporting a maximum brightness of 450 nits. A built-in 4K resolution camera for video conferencing, a 20-watt woofer speaker, and a microphone are also included. The touch display can recognize up to 50 points simultaneously.

Samsung Electronics is developing AI scenarios for future digital classrooms in collaboration with Google and plans to introduce services specialized for educational environments through global AI company partnerships in the future.

Jung Hoon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business Division, said, "The electronic whiteboard equipped with AI functions provides a higher-level educational environment for both teachers and students," adding, "We will continue to lead the development of new educational display technologies to provide solutions optimized for digital AI education environments."
