Geumcheon-gu (District Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) announced that it will operate the ‘Real Estate Brokerage Office Opening (Relocation) Registration Reservation System’ starting this year.

The ‘Real Estate Brokerage Office Opening (Relocation) Registration Reservation System’ is a service that allows licensed real estate agents to visit the district office once on their desired date to receive their registration certificate immediately.

Previously, licensed real estate agents had to visit the district office more than twice to open (or relocate) a brokerage office. They had to consult about the possibility of registration, submit the application, supplement documents, and then receive the registration certificate. The processing period took about four days.

By using the reservation system, applicants can have their eligibility for opening (or relocation) reviewed in advance via the internet or fax, and then visit the district office only once on the designated date to receive the registration certificate immediately.

Licensed real estate agents who wish to make a reservation for opening registration should submit a copy of their ID, prior consent form for administrative information sharing, proof of office acquisition (lease contract), and certificate of completion of practical training through the Geumcheon-gu Office website or by fax.

The district office reviews the applicant’s qualification as a licensed real estate agent, completion of prior education, and criminal record. If deemed appropriate, the applicant is guided on the required documents. The applicant can then visit the district office on the desired date to fill out the registration application and receive the opening registration certificate.

Yoo Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “By shortening the civil service processing period, we can prevent economic losses and minimize the time required for registration when reopening after closure, thereby preventing unregistered brokerage activities. We will continue to do our best to improve the quality of civil services.”
