Kim Dong-yeon "Arrest Warrant Issued for Leader of Rebellion... A Natural Outcome"

Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, stated that the issuance of an arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, accused of being a ringleader of insurrection, is a natural outcome.

Kim Dong-yeon, who departed on the 18th to attend the 'Davos Forum,' known as the World Economic Olympics, wrote on his social media (SNS), "No one will be able to turn back the time of ending the insurrection," asserting this view.

He said, "(With this issuance of the arrest warrant) Korea will become a barometer of global democracy," and added, "I am currently at the Davos World Economic Forum (WEF)."

He continued, "Starting tomorrow at the WEF, I will confidently inform global economic leaders of the resilience of Korean democracy and the solid fundamentals of the Korean economy," promising, "I will do my best to raise the credibility of the Republic of Korea. Now is the 'time for the economy,' and I will do all that needs to be done."

Earlier, the Seoul Western District Court issued an arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, accused of being the 'ringleader of insurrection,' at around 2:50 a.m. on the 29th.
