Foreign international students living in Busan will receive Lunar New Year travel gifts.
Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-jun) and Busan Tourism Organization (President Lee Jung-sil) announced on the 19th that they will carry out the ‘Busan City Tour Lunar New Year Special Program’ for about 50 foreign international students on the 21st.
This program was prepared to gift foreign international students celebrating the holiday with Busan’s representative tourism content, the ‘Busan City Tour,’ to introduce tourist attractions and soothe their homesickness.
The program will be conducted on a double-decker city tour bus, covering major tourist spots such as Gwangalli, Haeundae, Songdo, and Jagalchi within about two hours.
In addition to major tourist attractions, popular stops such as Busan Harbor Bridge will be added to provide experiences unique to Busan.
Busan City will also promote campaigns targeting domestic and international tourists to boost the domestic economy and activate tourism during the Lunar New Year holiday period.
Starting from the 20th until sold out, a limited number of 2,025 tickets will be sold for the ‘20,000 Won Happiness’ package, allowing visitors to enjoy the Busan City Tour, Taejongdae Danubi Train, Busan Tower, and Nakdong River Ecological Exploration Boat at prices in the 20,000 won range.
From the 17th to the 31st, the ‘New Year Busan City Tour × Busan Tower Best Value Tour’ will be held, offering 50% discounts on city tour tickets and Busan Tower admission tickets for passengers on the West Busan themed city tour route.
For detailed information about route operations and promotions, please visit the Busan City Tour website and the Modi Busan platform.
Although Monday and Tuesday are regular city tour holidays, the tour will operate normally on January 27th, a temporary holiday, to revitalize the local tourism industry, and will be closed on Lunar New Year day.
Kim Hyun-jae, Director of the Tourism MICE Bureau of Busan City, said, “I hope foreign international students will have a time to love Busan more through the city tour,” and added, “We are promoting projects to enhance Busan’s global tourism competitiveness so that foreigners can enjoy tourism more.”
