Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will conduct training over two days, on the 20th and 21st, to help newly appointed public officials adapt to their public service careers.
The training is designed for 29 newly appointed public officials since September last year, aiming to equip them with basic qualities as public servants, acquire knowledge necessary for understanding the current status of district administration and practical work, and help them adapt well to the public service community.
The training will be held at the Geumcheon-gu Lifelong Learning Center and major local facilities, covering topics such as ▲ key district administration status ▲ duty ▲ education and welfare benefits ▲ official document writing ▲ use of administrative systems (Onnara) ▲ kindness ▲ and field trips to major local facilities.
On the first day, job training will be conducted based on the experiences gained by current and former senior public officials. Basic knowledge required as a Geumcheon-gu public official, including key district administration status, duty, education, and welfare benefits, will be delivered. A professional instructor will provide training on official document writing and the use of the administrative system (Onnara).
On the second day, kindness training for handling civil complaints will be conducted, followed by visits to major local facilities such as the G-Valley Corporate Citizen Hall and Siheung Haenggung Exhibition Hall to understand the characteristics and operations of each facility firsthand.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “I hope this training will serve as an opportunity for new employees starting their public service careers in Geumcheon-gu to develop affection for the district and pride as public officials.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to support new public officials in performing their duties and adapting to public service life.”
