According to an SBS report the previous day, the Presidential Security Service held a 60th anniversary event around December 2023 to celebrate President Yoon Seok-yeol's birthday. At this commemorative event, the Security Service performed a dedicated song praising President Yoon. The lyrics of the song called 'Founding Anniversary Event Medley,' sung by Security Service staff, included lines such as "84,5280 precious minutes, countless days running tirelessly since inauguration," "The overflowing love you showed, warm hands, always there where love is needed," and "You who thought only of the people, thank you."

This anthem dedicated to President Yoon is a parody of part of the lyrics from the musical Rent's "Seasons Of Love." The following song is a modified version of singer Kwon Jin-won's "Happy Birthday To You," containing the message, "Today, a meaningful day when the president sent by heaven for the new Republic of Korea was born, let us all celebrate." This dedicated song for President Yoon was a parody of part of the lyrics from the musical 'Rent's 'Seasons Of Love.' The following song was a modified version of singer Kwon Jin-won's 'Happy Birthday To You,' containing the lyrics, "On this meaningful day when the president sent to us by heaven was born for a new Republic of Korea, let us all celebrate." The event was hosted by former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, who was then the head of the Security Service, and planned by Deputy Director Kim, who was the head of the Planning and Management Office.

Earlier, on the 15th, President Yoon was arrested on charges of leading a rebellion and detained at Seoul Detention Center. The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) is expected to request an arrest warrant on the afternoon of the 17th. To maintain continuity in the case, the CIO is also expected to request the arrest warrant from the Seoul Western District Court, which issued the arrest warrant. After a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) on the 18th, a decision on whether to issue the arrest warrant is expected between the 18th and 19th.
