Hyosung TNC Selected as an 'Outstanding Company for ESG Practices in Rural Areas'

Hyosung TNC announced on the 16th that it has been recognized for its activities in win-win growth and sustainable management, and was selected as an 'Outstanding Rural ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Practice Company.'

On the same day, Hyosung TNC was selected as a recognized rural ESG practice company at the '2024 Rural ESG Awards' ceremony hosted by the Foundation for Large and Small Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries Cooperation, in recognition of its win-win cooperation activities with rural areas.

In particular, it was additionally selected as an outstanding rural ESG practice company, an honor given only to the top 10 companies, and received a commendation from the Chairman of the Win-Win Growth Committee. Along with this, Kim Eun-bi PM of Hyosung TNC received a commendation from the Minister of Industry as an awardee for contributions to the Win-Win Cooperation Fund.

Hyosung TNC donated clothing and bags made from recycled fiber regen to local village halls, schools, and child centers in areas such as Haman and Gumi, and sponsored a local environmental festival near the Daegu Dalseong Wetlands, where its business site is located.

Additionally, through activities such as supporting steel fences to protect endangered wildlife and prevent damage to farms, and conserving winter migratory birds, the company was selected as a ‘Recognized Sponsor for Endangered Wildlife Conservation’ by the National Institute of Ecology. In December of last year, it was also evaluated as an excellent contributor to the Win-Win Cooperation Fund and received a plaque of appreciation from the Foundation for Large and Small Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries Cooperation.
