"APT." debuted at No. 4 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, one of the two major global pop charts alongside the US Billboard chart, upon its release in October last year, and climbed to No. 2, setting the highest record for a K-pop female artist. Previously, Psy became the first Korean male singer to top the UK Official Singles Chart with "Gangnam Style" in 2012. Following Psy, attention is focused on whether Ros? can become the first Korean female artist to reach No. 1 on this chart.
Meanwhile, "APT." was released as a pre-release track from Ros?'s first full-length album "rosie," which came out on December 6 last year. Inspired by the widely known "apateu game" (apartment game) in Korea, the song attracted attention through collaboration with global pop star Bruno Mars. The track also achieved a record-high No. 5 for a K-pop female artist on the US Billboard Hot 100, maintaining that position for two consecutive weeks.
