D-100 Countdown Board Unveiling Ceremony
and Promotional Event Held

With the opening of the Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival, which will serve as a venue for the unity of Gyeonggi-do residents, just 100 days away, Gapyeong-gun, the host city, is accelerating preparations for a successful event.

Gapyeong-gun (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 15th that on the 14th, a D-day countdown board unveiling ceremony was held at the entrance of the county office to commemorate 100 days before the opening of the 15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival and the 71st Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival.


The event was attended by Seo Tae-won, Governor of Gapyeong-gun, Kim Kyung-soo, Chairman of the County Council and council members, Ji Young-gi, President of the Gapyeong-gun Sports Council, Shin Sung-sik, Senior Vice President of the Gapyeong-gun Disabled Sports Council, and other key figures.


At the unveiling ceremony, the tournament mascots, ‘Gatpyeongi’ and ‘Songsongi,’ attracted attention by appearing together.


Governor Seo Tae-won said, “As this is a special event held for the first time in Gapyeong-gun, we will ensure flawless preparations over the remaining 100 days to successfully host the event,” adding, “We will focus all administrative efforts until the end so that Gapyeong-gun can take a step forward and become a place where Gyeonggi-do residents unite.”


After the unveiling ceremony, the governor and key figures wrote supportive messages wishing for the successful hosting of the event on a memo board, further raising expectations for the festival.


Following this, a promotional event commemorating D-100 was held in the county office lobby. Participants who watched the promotional video uploaded on Gapyeong-gun’s official YouTube channel and wrote supportive messages were given small prizes, generating interest and positive responses toward the event.


The 15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival will be held under the slogan “Healing More Gapyeong, Changing More Gyeonggi” from April 24 to 26, and the 71st Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival will be held under the slogan “Healing More Gapyeong, More Opportunities for Gyeonggi” from May 15 to 17 throughout Gapyeong-gun.
