The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (Chief Lee Myungjun) announced on the 14th that it held a business consultation at the Mokpo Regional Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Center with the Navy's 3rd Fleet ship Jeon Byeongik (commanded by Lieutenant Commander Kim Hyunjae) to enhance the response capabilities and cooperation system between the military and police regarding illegal entry and exit cases.
This consultation was arranged to increase mutual understanding of each organization's duties and to establish a close cooperation system for incidents related to illegal entry and exit occurring at sea.

Chief Lee Myungjun stated, "I believe this business consultation will serve as an opportunity to further advance the joint investigation and response capabilities of the Coast Guard regarding illegal entry and exit crimes," and added, "Going forward, both organizations will respond even more closely to incidents and accidents at sea and further strengthen mutual cooperation through regular personnel exchanges."
