Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province will produce and send "Large Print Tax Notices" starting January 2025 to provide taxpayer-centered administrative services.
The existing tax notices contained a lot of information in small print, making it difficult for citizens to quickly grasp the main details. With this revision, information such as tax amount, payment deadline, and payment account will be placed in large print at the center of the notice to improve readability, allowing seniors and visually impaired individuals to easily check the contents.
The revised tax notices have been applied starting with the January registration license tax (license) and automobile tax. It will gradually be expanded to other tax categories such as resident tax and property tax.
Kim Jun-han, head of the Taxation Division, said, "The city will strive to provide taxpayer convenience by discovering resident-tailored services and various convenience policies to realize advanced tax administration."
Yeongju City expects that with this revision, citizens will be able to check and pay local tax information more conveniently.
