Acting Commissioner of the National Police Agency Lee Ho-young stated on the 13th that if members of the People Power Party obstruct the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, they could be arrested.
On the same day, during the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, Acting Commissioner Lee responded to a question from Mo Kyung-jong, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "If they actively obstruct the arrest, they could be considered caught in the act."
Acting Commissioner Lee emphasized that the arrest warrant for President Yoon is lawful and cannot be refused.
Regarding the plan to deploy the police special forces in the operation to arrest President Yoon, he said, "The National Investigation Headquarters (Guksubon) has not requested this," adding, "Guksubon also has sufficient investigative personnel of its own."
