Get Year-End Tax Settlement Certificates like Family Relation Certificate Issued at Government24

Starting this year, it will be easier to obtain five types of certificates, including the resident registration certificate, necessary for the 2024 year-end tax settlement on 'Government24'.

On the 12th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that from the 13th to the 31st, a dedicated window for the 'Year-end Tax Settlement Certificate Issuance Service' will be provided on the Government24 website in line with the 2024 year-end tax settlement service schedule.

The dedicated window for year-end tax settlement, targeting a total of five types of certificates including the resident registration certificate, certificate of basic livelihood security recipient, certificate of foreigner registration, disability certificate, and university enrollment certificate, will be operated temporarily during the year-end tax settlement period. In particular, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to minimize inconvenience and enhance the stability of Government24 operations by operating the dedicated window in anticipation of a surge in user access during the year-end tax settlement period and applying a queue waiting display function to distribute the service load.

Issuance of year-end tax settlement certificates can be accessed through joint or financial certificates and simple authentication for Government24 members. Non-members can use the issuance service by entering personal information such as name and resident registration number and then completing identity verification through joint or financial certificates and simple authentication.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety emphasized that certificate issuance through Government24 is provided free of charge without any fees, but warned that some private civil service agencies charge service fees for issuance, advising users to be cautious. Lee Yong-seok, Director of the Digital Government Innovation Office, stated, "We have prepared so that citizens who need to complete the 2024 year-end tax settlement can more conveniently obtain year-end tax settlement certificates through Government24," and added, "We will continue to do our best to provide citizens with convenient access to life-related services on Government24."
