Gwangju City Receives 'Best' Rating in Ministry of the Interior and Safety Information Disclosure Evaluation

High Marks for Appropriateness and Compliance Rate

Gwangju City announced on the 9th that it has been selected as an 'Outstanding Institution' in the 2024 Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.


The 'Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation' is conducted annually for over 550 institutions, including central government ministries, local governments, and public organizations, to promote information disclosure and ensure the reliability and efficiency of the information disclosure system.


The evaluation covers 11 indicators across five categories: ▲Proactive Information Disclosure ▲Original Document Disclosure ▲Information Disclosure Request Processing ▲Customer Management ▲System Operation. Institutions are rated in four grades: Outstanding, Excellent, Average, and Insufficient.


Gwangju City received a comprehensive score of 97.09 points, higher than the institutional average of 93.74, and achieved an 'Outstanding' grade, two levels higher than last year's 'Average' grade. The city received high marks in the area of information disclosure request processing, such as the appropriateness of processing and compliance rate with processing deadlines.


Hwang Inchae, Director of the General Affairs Division, said, "We will continue to make every effort to realize transparent and trustworthy administration in the future."
