Gyeonggawon Holds 'On-site Communication' with Gwangju Area Entrepreneurs to Respond to Emergency Livelihood Economy

The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is accelerating on-site communication to respond to the emergency livelihood economy.

The agency announced on the 9th that, as part of operating the ‘Emergency Support Center for Small and Medium Enterprises Responding to the Emergency Livelihood Economic Situation’ launched last year, it held a roundtable meeting with the Gwangju City Entrepreneurs Association on the 7th.

The roundtable was organized to listen to the difficulties faced by local companies amid the unstable economic situation and to seek rapid support measures.

The attending entrepreneurs requested support such as financial aid for business stabilization, market development, and various certification-related assistance. They especially emphasized the need to discover customized support projects considering the characteristics of the Gwangju City area.

On the same day, the agency introduced this year’s major corporate support projects along with the recently introduced AI-based customized corporate support platform, ‘Gyeonggi Enterprise Secretary.’

Jung Kwang-yong, Head of the Balanced Opportunity Division at the agency, stated, "In an uncertain economic situation, it is more important than anything else to identify and resolve companies’ difficulties early." He promised, "We will continue ongoing communication with the field through the Eastern Regional Center and actively discover region-customized support projects in cooperation with Gwangju City."

Recently, the agency expanded and reorganized the One-Stop Comprehensive Support Center for Corporate Difficulties into the ‘Emergency Support Center for Small and Medium Enterprises Responding to the Emergency Livelihood Economic Situation’ to respond to the emergency livelihood economy. It has also established on-site support teams in four regions (East, West, South, North) within the province and operates a 24-hour corporate difficulty reception system.
