On the 9th, the 'Cheonwon Guksi 8th Branch,' a place where residents of Nongsung 1-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju can use without burden, opened its doors.

Cheonwon Guksi 8th Branch operates under the concept of 'Da(Ga)chi Mutual Care Village,' reflecting the Brand Identity (BI) of Nongsung 1-dong.

Considering the characteristics of the area, which is densely populated with old houses and rental apartments, it provides affordable meals for vulnerable groups.

Seniors aged 60 and over, pregnant women, children under 7 years old, and care service workers can use the service for 1,000 won, while general residents pay 3,000 won. The store operates on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers a limited 100 bowls per day.

Inside the store, a sharing refrigerator accessible to everyone will be installed to provide free side dishes to local residents. In the rest area called 'Welcome to Dolbom Land,' free tea and massage services will be offered, serving as a comfortable resting place.

Kim I-gang, the head of Seo-gu Office, said, "Cheonwon Guksi will be developed as a welfare project reflecting the characteristics of each neighborhood while adhering to the basic principles of creating jobs for seniors, using domestic wheat, and spreading a culture of sharing."

Meanwhile, Seo-gu has been operating eight Cheonwon Guksi stores since starting with Yangdong in March 2023.
