The Address Information Committee, composed of experts such as architects and appraisers, decided to change six existing road names, including Uraeulgil, in the complex cultural convergence district urban development project area for single-family residential lots to new names such as Dokbawigil.

The single-family residential lots are planned relocation sites for residents of the existing Dokbawi Village. Reflecting the residents' requests to preserve the village's tradition and origin, the road names were changed to include the place name 'Dokbawi,' resulting in Dokbawigil, Dokbawisanggil, and Dokbawihagil.

Following the resolution of the Address Information Committee, the city completed the official announcement of the road name changes on the same day. Newly constructed buildings within the affected section will be assigned road name addresses including the newly changed Dokbawi names.

Kim Jeong-seop, Director of the Land Information Division, said, “This road name change is a case that actively reflects the opinions of village residents, and it is significant in preserving the village’s tradition and forming consensus with residents. We will continue to make efforts to improve the convenience of using road name addresses and to reflect residents’ opinions.”
